Discover Why You Should Switch To VoIP

Filed under: Telecommunication Hall @ 4:45 am

We have heard of VoIP. We know what it is. But why should we switch from our Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) to VoIP? Why should we join the many major corporations clamouring to transform their business needs to VoIP? Why should we jump on the bandwagon of the many households who are confidently switching to VoIP?

The answers all come down to the many benefits that VoIP offers. The advantages of VoIP have been proven time and time again. The most appealing of all the benefits is that it is cost efficient. VoIP transfers voice into digital data over the Internet. As the data is smaller compared to a standard electric unit, users save on valuable bandwidth. Ever wondered how you could be hooked up to a computer sending messages all across the globe, but yet not having to pay long distance charges? That’s how VoIP works. Just think, you will never have to pay for long distance calls ever again!

It does not matter if you plan to use VoIP for your business or for your personal use at home, it is just plain cheaper. Costs for both local and long distance calls can be minimised through VoIP. Many VoIP service providers offer plans that enable you to make unlimited local as well as long distance calls. Check with your provider to ascertain the extent of the coverage of calling areas. With VoIP in your homes, there will be no need for additional phone jacks and wires, just add on to your system, thus saving you money.

Not only will VoIP save you telephone costs, it also integrates all your telephone needs with your computer applications like e-mail, fax, video-phone, and web conferencing. By combining all these into one basic application, you will save on energy and money. Not only that, allowing you to access all the other programs at the same time will provide for greater freedom. This way, even a homeowner will find it simple to utilise all these different products.

Imagine being able to use your own telephone number anywhere that you can access an Internet connection, even overseas. Yes, with VoIP that is now possible. A perfect solution for those always on the move and for those who travel frequently. With VoIP you can cut down on your cell phone expenses. All you need to do is to take your telephone adapter with you anywhere you go. As long as there is a high Internet speed, you can take phone calls on your regular telephone number. This means that you can even take calls while staying overseas or even while going camping. Talk about tremendous flexibility!

Another benefit that comes from using VoIP is the option that allows you to pick your own area code. This is especially good news for those who have family and friends living in a particular area out of state. If you choose your friends’ area code, you are giving them the fantastic opportunity of being able to call you whenever they want to without having to pay for long distance charges. All their calls will be charged as local calls. Again, check with your VoIP providers. Some might even extend this service to other countries. Now wouldn’t this be a blessing if you have friends and family all around the globe?

Remember all the extra features that you have to pay for with PSTN phone services? Voice Mail, Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, Call Return, Call Block, Do Not Disturb - all these features now come under one package with VoIP. As all the features between VoIP and the Internet are incorporated, you have greater access and control over all your VoIP phone features through the Internet. No more paying for extras.

VoIP is the answer to all our telecommunication needs. The world is making the switch to VoIP. The question is, when will you join this revolution?

Guitar Success 101: Your Worthy Ideal

Filed under: Web Of Music @ 1:28 pm

The great motivator Earl Nightingale came up with the following definition of success… “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.” I love that definition! What does this definition mean to you? Let’s take a closer look at the worthy ideal part of it…

Please spend a few minutes writing down what the words “worthy ideal” mean to you. To me it is my vision of perfection…a vision of how I would ideally like things to be.It is a vision that I find inspiring and energizing!

If your success with guitar is totally dependant on working towards a worthy ideal, doesn’t it make sense that you first need to figure out what YOUR worthy ideal is? How can you progressively realize something if you don’t know what it is? Let’s do some exercises to figure your one out…

Please invest at least a couple of hours doing the following exercises. They will really help you to build a picture of your
worthy ideal in your mind’s eye…

Exercise 1:

Imagine how would ideally like to play.Try and imagine what your guitar playing would sound, look and feel like. What guitar techniques are you a master of? How does your improvising sound? What about your composing? Please write your answers down now.

Exercise 2:

Imagine your ideal guitar playing career. Would you be a master guitar teacher? What about an amazing performing artist? Or what about performing as part of a highly successful band? How about being an in demand studio guitarist? What do you TRULY want to do? Please write down your answers now.

Exercise 3:

Write down your worthy ideal. Write it down in the present tense, as if you have already achieved it.Try to condense it down into a one paragraph statement.

Exercise 4:

Invest 5 minutes every morning and night to read your worthy ideal. This will help you to stay motivated and focused on what you TRULY want.

Clarity is essential. Without it you won’t be able to start developing an effective plan to work towards your worthy ideal.

You may find as you answer the questions that self-doubt starts to creep in. You may doubt whether or not what you write down is even possible! This is normal. Just write down your answers anyway :-) You don’t need to know right now HOW you will achieve your worthy ideal. All you need to do is figure out WHAT it is.

Do you have the plan to go out and buy a motorhome and need 32500 dollar

Check out to see if the moneylender who is tending to give you a money loan is untrustworthy. At this present you can check into rates of interest quickly at websites and realize if there are possible traps you should be aware of. Be impertinent today to inspect if you have a nice bargain or if you don’t with the merchant bank that offers you a credit loan. That’s the reason why now you need to inquire and insure if you can have a loan at a beneficial percent rate of interest. It makes no difference if you live in Boston Massachusetts or in Ocala Florida a solid online check up will preserve you often huge troubles. Many of the merchant banks wil show you a rate that looks honorable but feels bad or so after a period of time.

18.8 percent interest rate may come along so sightly but will it stay constant after you have to pay back your loan. A bank in Elgin Illinois or so can have a total completely different actual loan rate for a 30000 dollar money loan then a merchant bank in Albany Georgia and that makes a vast clear gap in your monthly pay backs.

New Rules for the New Year: What is Coming in the Music Industry?

Filed under: Web Of Music @ 8:56 am

We’ve seen it coming for several years, but it’s here full on and in our faces now…so what do artists do? The word artist means: “One whose work shows skill.” (The American Heritage Dictionary)

However, with the arrival of unskilled, but nice “artists” being signed to contracts and marketed to the public and the public is hearing the call and purchasing their music, what is the secret?

We all know William Hung of American Idol fame. This gentleman is sweet and seems kind, but frankly, can’t sing a note and is artistically disturbed and challenged to say the least. So how did he land a record deal and sell over a 100,000 units right off the block? How is it that even after what would normally be a one-hit-wonder scenario, the novelty didn’t wear off and he has a Christmas CD out that also sold quite well?

Then we find a Princess on the show Love in the Heir, who can’t sing, can’t write, but I am pretty sure will be getting a deal, if she hasn’t already. The credits read, Asylum Entertainment. Could this be a resurfacing of Asylum Records?

So how do these obscure people get deals and move product when talented artists can’t get a CD on the shelf?

The answer, it’s all about marketing. We have heard it time and time again and that’s what it is. A rock packaged and sold as a rock, is just a rock. But a rock packaged and marketed as a friend, becomes a cultural phenomenon.

First these companies find a way to pull at our heart strings. With William, it was his sweet genuine spirit that seemed to say “I am the underdog, but I don’t know it.” Everyone loves an underdog, especially and unknowing one. With Princess Ann, there is the royalty novelty, but they play up the unspoiled victim and everyone roots for the vicitim. They have been marketed as the person next door, the underdog and our friends. We can personalize and associate with their lives. That grabs us at our heart strings, which then grabs us in our bank accounts. We dole money out to help support ourselves really. We are buying the product because it reminds us of our dreams unrealized. The marketing has then worked. You have to reach a common ground. Let me take the word

Statistics have shown that most buys are done from emotional buying. Not from a planned excursion.

So how can the average Joe grab the marketing media, without having access to being on a reality show? It’s hard, but obtainable. Tell a story that captures the hearts of the world. One that they can relate too. You must communicate to the general public a story that they can relate too. You must give them a value a reason for buying your product. Let me give you an example. A simple word picture presented two different ways.

The growth of such a digital delivery system will result in the balance of power shifting away from large-scale entertainment companies in favor of musicians no longer dependent upon large record companies for manufacturing and distribution of the musician’s work. Under the traditional model of distribution, artists earn around $1.50 per CD, while digital delivery garners them about $6 for the same CD.
However, the major labels still win out over the indies in the minor leagues why? Marketing. It’s all about marketing and PR. YOU MUST DO IT.
YOU MUST HAVE IT.

Microsoft Great Plains: Manufacturing or Bill of Materials - Overview for IT Specialist

Filed under: Lots Of Software Resources @ 10:15 pm

Microsoft Great Plains is main Microsoft Business Solutions product, targeted to mid-size companies. Currently Microsoft is in progress of transforming several ERP products it has: Microsoft Great Plains, Solomon and Navision into several business suites - Microsoft Financial, Microsoft HR, Microsoft Manufacturing, Microsoft Logistics.

These suites may be (in the future) put together and work for your company as integrated ERP solution with web interface (Microsoft Business Portal). If you are midsize company with some manufacturing - you should make the research on light manufacturing packages available on software market. In the case of your commitment to Great Plains (if you use it as your accounting system) you should probably first answer this question - do we need full featured manufacturing or we should implement just bill of materials and have missing functionality be filled with custom Crystal Reports and light Dexterity customization?

And one more thing to consider - Microsoft Manufacturing will be more likely build on Navision manufacturing base. If you have process manufacturing - you should not implement GP manufacturing - it is discreet manufacturing.

If you answer yes on most of these questions, you do need manufacturing

  • Do you need Manufacturing Resource Planning?

  • Are Cost Centers required?

  • Do you base your production on the specific Sales Order?

  • Do you track working shifts and allocate the cost?

Now - this is what you can have in Bill of Materials

  • Samples bills of materials - to do the replacement of the items

  • Purchasing configuration, based on ABC codes and other criteria

  • Historical bills reporting

With Crystal Reports you can have this information, having just Bill of Materials

  • Sales/profitability by customer, item, region or custom criteria

  • Future Sales predictions, based on your criteria

  • Employee time and cost allocation

  • Simple Cost Centers, based on product line, specific order or other user defined information

Good luck with your research - we are here to help with Bill of Materials or recommend the best GP Manufacturing partner! If you want us to do the job - give us a call 1-866-528-0577! help@albaspectrum.com

How Does it Work

A lot of buzzwords are thrown around the internet and I am very interested in one in particular. I was busy researching spiderweb applications as it pertains to a computer home based business and I would love to know how it works. The models seem like they are offered for absolutely no risk but I guess I want to know more about how they work before I jump on board. How do I get paid for someone else visiting my website? I really have nothing to offer and I do not want to start making a product of my own. How does it work without either of these two?

I believe practically everything that I read. Although this may sound like a gullible and naive thing to do, at times it has made me a lot of money so I do not try to change my personality. Recently when I was looking for a computer home based business I came across a website that claimed I did not even need a product to start raking in the money. I of course joined as fast my fingers could type and all of a sudden I am getting money for my visited sites. I did not even know that I had some of these sites, but I am making money.

Online Banking with QuickBooks - Ten Tips for Success

Filed under: Lots Of Software Resources @ 5:40 am

Online banking with QuickBooks is a great way to enter transactions and keep tabs on all activity in bank and credit card accounts. It is especially useful if you use an ATM card or credit card often and don’t want to take the time to manually enter each individual purchase. Frequent, even daily, downloads will help keep your account balances current and accurate in QuickBooks.

In order for this feature to work efficiently for you, it is important to learn how online banking with QuickBooks works. If you understand how it works, you can avoid problems later. Follow these tips to make certain that each QuickBooks online banking session goes smoothly:

1. Correct set-up. When entering account information for the first time, do not include dashes or spaces in any box that asks for the account or routing number. They will “confuse” the program, and you will have to remove them before continuing.

2. Make a backup. Don’t neglect this step, particularly if you are new to the online banking process. Backup the file immediately before downloading. This ensures that if you wind up with a lot of work to clean up, you can instead restore the backup.

3. Download before reconciling. One problem QuickBooks users encounter is to find that there are unmatched transactions in the Online Banking Center that were previously entered into QuickBooks and then reconciled. QuickBooks will not match a downloaded transaction to a reconciled one, even if it is the same transaction. Reduce the likelihood of this happening by downloading immediately before you reconcile.

4. Understand your connection. There are two ways QuickBooks downloads transactions: either through a direct connection, or a “web-connect.” A direct connection asks for your password, then downloads transactions directly, without using the QuickBooks internal web browser. A “web-connect” opens the QuickBooks web browser, then takes you to the financial institution’s website. Sign in to your account, navigate to the account you wish to download, then find a link that says something like, “Download transactions.” Follow the instructions to complete the download.

5. Correct dates for download. If your financial institution uses the “web-connect” described above, it may or may not keep track of the last date you downloaded. If yours does not, keep a log somewhere of each and every date you download; refer to it each time before a new download. If you accidentally overlap dates, you will download transactions twice, creating unmatchable transactions.

6. Match and/or enter transactions correctly. For example, if you previously invoiced a customer, and are now trying to enter their payment as an individual deposit via your online banking session, make sure you use the “Receive Payments” option when entering the payment into QuickBooks. This will record that your customer no longer owes that money. Similarly, if you previously entered a bill to be paid, and are now recording the check written for it via your online banking session, make sure you use the “Pay Bills” option. This will record that you no longer owe the vendor the money. In both of these examples the transaction should have been assigned the “Unmatched” status initially. If the transaction was assigned the “Matched” status, do nothing. It means you already recorded it correctly in QuickBooks.

7. Add all information. When adding any type of transaction to the register, make certain you enter all information: the correct payee, date, and check number. This is true no matter which option you select for adding it: the Add to Register, the Pay Bills, or any other option. Neglecting to add any of this information may result in a transaction remaining unmatched.

8. Be careful about deleting the QuickStatement. If the QuickStatement gets filled with unmatchable transactions, you can simply delete it, and this is very handy. However, before you ever delete one, make absolutely certain that every transaction that can be matched, is matched. If matchable transactions remain on a deleted QuickStatement, you will probably have to enter them manually.

9. Upgrade before sunset. Intuit cannot support its products forever. Once your version of QuickBooks is sunsetted, online features are no longer available. To keep online banking flowing smoothly, make sure you upgrade your software before it’s sunsetted.

10. It can’t do everything. Intuit has done an excellent job creating a great program, but like anything else in life, online banking with QuickBooks simply cannot do every single thing that every single business owner needs. You may have a unique need, requiring a unique work-around. Contact an experienced QuickBooks professional who can develop an acceptable alternative for you.

Follow these ten steps to make each online banking session with QuickBooks the time saver it was designed to be.
