The Georgia Teachers Organization

The Georgia Teachers Organization, mostly known as GTO, is one of the prominent organizations
that focuses on making an improved environment and gains for the educators in the state of Georgia. The
objective of this organization is to bring together all Georgia educators into a sole state organization which can talk out in behalf of the benefits that
they should get. Among the matters that they talk out, high salaries is one of the primary
concerns. In addition to that, abolition of the state salary step structure by which the older teachers are discriminated is one of other
primary concerns where they also emphasize on better retirement benefits. Through The Georgia Teachers
Organization, they could effectively communicate with the members and coordinate actions on significant issues that concern Georgia educators.

Volunteering

The Georgia Teachers Organization states that they do not have "luxury" office apartments and none of their members run for elected
office. It is run by a group of volunteer members of the organization that work in order to achieve better
gains for all teachers, faculty and staff members in the state of Georgia. The Georgia
Teachers Organization also attempts to educate the educators on various issues, worries, and rights, so the educators know what they are
entitled and take required steps when required. Using an email communication network, the organization will extend and notify their member of all the
relevant matters. The GTO is inviting the educators in the state of Georgia to join the organization by paying $25 annual fee.

Motivating the Educators

The GTO encourages any lawmaking that would step-up the educator benefits and spirit. The Georgia Teachers Organization mentions that all the states that border Georgia have educators
retirements plans that does not include any early retirement penelties, but Geogia does not have it yet. Other than for the core benefits of the educators, The Georgia Teachers Organization
also works on many extra domains for raising and bettering the gains of the educators in the
state of Georgia.

The organization also state that the retirement benefit for each year of service should be increased to 3%. As a result 25 years of service would provide
75% (25*3%) salary upon retirement in contrast to the presently provided 60%. Furthermore, GTO maintains that since there are Georgia State employees who get 90% of their salary at retirement, the educators should also
provided the same gain.

Making Opportunities

When one joins the Georgia Teachers Organization one gets several benefits such as being included in an action list
which advises who to contact when critical matters break and also receiving email notifications about pending legislation
concerning the profession. The contact details of the individuals, parties, and
organizations are given to The Georgia Teachers Organization’s members, so they can directly have a dialog with the parties who are working to improve the standards for Georgian
educators. In addition to that, the educators attached to The Georgia Teachers Organization will get opportunities to move with the rest of the educators from other states and learn how they accomplished their rights.

Failing Algebra Is Not an Option

Algebra is good at differentiating relationships between things that vary from time to time. For example, the relationship between a person’s income and rise of his expenses could be seen and figured using easy algebraic equations. Mathematics is not an easy subject for most pupils. Many software applications are available with a miscellanea of subject field presentation so students able to handle any capacity of learning algebra can work around the subject without difficulty. These applications also serves students to comprehend importance of Algebra in real life as well as within industry levels. Larger functions employed in algebra include Graphing complex inequalities, Solving compound inequalities , Solving quadratic inequalities, Adding and Subtracting matrices etc.
Although algebra is an easy to follow course of study, students may face a lot of trouble if they do not practice the basic concepts hard enough. This makes fundamental math skills important to help students successfully advance from algebra and promote into more high-level math with confidence.

How to Succeed in Algebra

The algebra software on offer in the market today offer far more useful guidelines and help than what is included in formal textbooks, such as homework help, interactive lesson plans, games and a worksheet tool or graphing calculator. The most useful software have all of these constituents - ease of use and covering of all the topics.

Such instructional tools come in handy when different forms such as audio, video, animations and games are put in to use in order to teach the lessons. All the important topics should also be covered from Pre-Algebra through Algebra II. Important topics in these courses are: Finding complement of an angle, composition of functions, finding type of polynomial, determine if line is Laws of exponents, subtracting radical expressions, finding equivalent fractions and Solving compound in equalities etc

How to Operate Algebra Software

Some algebraic software would only show results, while some other (most suitable for elementary use of algebra) give away techniques and ‘how-to’ guides on math theories that are being used. For students, ease of use of the software is the number one requirement. Thus, the software ought to be loaded with value added components like high quality and timely user assistance, integrated help options, and simply explained math wizards.

Warning: Your Cellphone Number will Soon Be Given to Telemarketers and Debt Collectors

Filed under: Best Mathematics Resources @ 2:02 pm

Does this sound familiar? Many of our readers have commented that they have received an e-mail telling you that your cell phone is about to be assaulted by telemarketing calls as a result of a new cell phone number database, rest assured that this is not the case.

Robert Paisola, CEO, of Utah Based Western Capital Financial Services, (www.mycollector.com ) stated that telemarketing to cell phone numbers has always been illegal in most cases and will continue to be so.

In response to recent e-mail campaigns urging consumers to place their cell phone numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry, the Federal Trade Commission and Federal Communications Commission issue has recently issued this formal advisory to give consumers the facts.

One e-mail making the rounds says:

“JUST A REMINDER…In a few weeks, cell phone numbers are being released to telemarketing companies and you will start to receive sale calls. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS… To prevent this, call the following number from your cell phone: 888/382-1222. It is the National DO NOT CALL list. It will only take a minute of your time. It blocks your number for five (5) years. PASS THIS ON TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS…”

Another version claims:

“The Federal Trade Commission has set up a “do not call” list. It is called a cell phone registry. To be included on the “do not call” list, you must call from the number you wish to register.”

Paisola stated that the hysteria that he hears from his viewers and listeners has become a serious issue. “We want to get the message out that Cell Phones are still Off-Limits to both Collection Agencies (upon Request) and telemarketing firms” said Paisola.

Current FCC regulations prohibit telemarketers from using automated dialers to call cell phone numbers. Automated dialers are standard in the telemarketing and collection industries, so most telemarketers are barred from calling consumers on their cell phones without their direct consent.

The public should be aware that The Federal Government does not maintain a national cell phone registry. Personal cell phone users have always been able to add their numbers to the National Do Not Call Registry the same Registry consumers use to register their land lines either online at www.donotcall.gov or by calling toll-free 1-888-382-1222 from the telephone number they wish to register, said Paisola.

Registrations become effective within 31 days of signing up and are active for five years. There is no cut-off date or deadline for registrations.

To learn more about the National Do Not Call Registry and the rules that enforce it, visit the FTC at www.ftc.gov , The FCC at www.fcc.gov . Or Western Capital at www.mywesterncapital.com/news.html

The FTC works for the consumer to prevent fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices in the marketplace and to provide information to help consumers spot, stop, and avoid them. Complaints are now being accepted in both English and Spanish, and can be filed by calling toll-free, 1-877-FTC-HELP (1-877-382-4357), or use the complaint form at www.ftc.gov.

Low FICO Score

Filed under: Best Mathematics Resources @ 2:09 am

If you have a low FICO score, you face difficulty in getting credit or purchasing or renting a property. This is because any lender would run a check on your FICO score, which a sign of your credit worthiness. It is easy to comprehend that a low FICO score is an indication of low credit worthiness.

The Fair Isaac Corp. has developed a computer model that takes into account different information about your credit status, both recent as well as long-ago (history). After gathering all this information, the model weighs the information against the credit status of thousands of other people and then allocates you a score. The FICO Score has a range of 300 to 900 points.

A low FICO score is usually considered to be below 600. At times, even a score of 650 is considered low. It actually varies from lender to lender and their capacity to take risk. A credit score that one lender considers acceptable may be regarded as unacceptable by other lenders for similar a credit instrument. Every so often, the lender would have other circumstances and restrictions that you would be required to qualify.

The Fair Isaac model takes into account five aspects while appraising your credit worthiness. Your average FICO score can be adversely affected by past payment history, balance owed, length of credit history, amount of new credit, and the type of credit used.

You can always work towards a better score, all you need is a little bit of financial education and restraint. By just paying all you bills on time you can increase you score. Every entry of a 30 days late payment, a collection or a judgment can reduce your score by 15-40 points each.

Similarly you get a penalty points for 60 day payment. You can lose as much as 20-40 points for credit and retail cards.

It is important to note that the only true credit score quick-fixes are to pay off debt and to successfully dispute negative information on a credit report.
