The Best CD and DVD Duplication Process

Filed under: Movie World, Pastime, Web Of Music @ 3:45 pm

CD and DVD Duplication

Duplication is the process of burning data from a master copy onto a blank CD-r or DVD-r exactly the same way one would do in your PC but instead of doing them one by one bulk copiers are used. As this process is a lot simpler the run lengths can be a lot shorter. Also, the lead-time will be a lot quicker. In many instances the CD or DVD duplication can be done on the same day depending on how many burners the company has available. In fact some companies can burn up to thousands in a day. One more advantage is if the artwork to be printed on the disc is ready before the data and the disc can be burnt when the data becomes available, this is difficult with replicated discs. The only disadvantage with this process is that you can tell it is a CD-R or DVD-R as the recording surface has a hue to it this is an organic dye that the laser burns the data into and some people take a dislike to this even though it plays the same. You can get around this with CD-Rs by choosing diamond discs which used a silver dye and is nearly impossible to tell the difference unless you know what you are looking for.

Disadvantage of duplication

Not cost effective on larger runs

People might think it is unprofessional compared to replicated disc.

60s Music Hits Managed to Fit in with the Fashion of the Time

Filed under: Web Of Music @ 7:09 am

Today, the influence of 60’s retro clothing can be seen everywhere. Designer fashion houses, high street outlets, and fashion conscious trendsetters all take inspiration from this decade. The 1960’s was responsible for revolutions in music, film, and fashion, which may be why it is so well loved by vintage clothing aficionados.

The 1960’s was an era of innovation and new thinking. Fashion was heavily influenced by the younger generations who were spending their wages on clothes and music. A school leaving age of fifteen meant that most teenagers over this age had full time jobs and an income to facilitate this spending.

Fashion followed three main phases but there were several popular sub genres too. In the early part of the 60’s fashion followed similar trends to the late 50’s such as the full skirt and Chanel suits. This was followed by the up rise of mini skirts, the Mary Quant and Vidal Sassoon looks. It was these that formed the ‘definitive’ 60’s look and by the end of the decade, the hippy look was more prevalent with long hair, and kaftans. The fashion perfectly matched the 60s music hits of the time.

The most iconic looks of the 1960’s can be split depending on your sex. For women, it was the almost Carnaby chic look with mini skirts, short angular haircuts, and knee length boots. For men, the 60’s brought the mod look with Italian slim fitting suits and skinny ties. These were the looks that defined the era, for many are still popular today, and still influence British fashion and style.

Even if you take a look at the popular movies from the 1960’s, these styles can be seen. Music too influenced the fashion and vice versa. Many of the major bands during this decade helped set the trends, which again were largely bought by the younger generations.

The late 60’s gave way to the hippy style, which was heavily influenced by the music culture. Long hair, beads, and kaftans were the order of the day and flared trousers and jeans were being worn by anyone who had a real eye for fashion. Not everyone however favoured this style. For some it was too scruffy therefore, a blend of this and mod style emerged where double-breasted suits with wider leg trousers bridged the gap.

60′S style keeps on coming back. You only have to look at the late 70’s and early 80’s, to see this when Two-Tone music and fashion became popular with 60’s inspired monochrome fashion and a new take on the mod look.

PsP Music Downloads - Review Get the Best

Filed under: Web Of Music @ 12:17 am

PsP handhelds are one of the newest and most fun ways to play games, watch movies and listen to music. PsP music downloads are just some things that you can do on your psp besides just games. PsP music downloads is a fun and easy.

There are many places on the net were one can find psp music downloads and psp movie downloads. Some sites have you pay per song or movie basis and sometimes charge up to a couple dollars for each download. Other sites require a membership and a monthly fee were user share files. This method sometimes can be frustrating when you are in the middle of a download and the user signs off before the download is complete.

I prefer to use sites that have a onetime membership for psp music, psp movie, psp games and psp software downloads. The best sites have their databases jammed pack with over a million songs, movies, games, and software available for downloading. Some of these sites have no limit to the amount of downloads you do per day.

There are some sites were the database does not have quality psp movies and psp music downloads and they might be very slow to download. I have placed a link at the top of this site for a one that has quality psp music downloads, psp movies, psp games and software downloads. You may want to check it out.

Once you have downloaded some psp music, psp movies and games you can take them anywhere you go. This is great when you have places to go or have long travel times to get somewhere. It really helps to pass the time away, while your having fun either listening to psp music or watching a psp movie or just playing a new game. There are so many games available you should never run out of games to play music to listen to and movies to watch.

Make sure that what ever site you choose either comes with a money back guarantee in case your not satisfied with their database of music songs games and software. I have been using the above site for over three months and never had the need to ask for my money back. I now have so many psp music downloads, psp movies and games downloaded that I often find it hard to decide which game to play, song to listen to, or movie to watch. If you’re wise and make the right choice you will be having fun all day long with your psp.

Guitar Success 101: Your Worthy Ideal

Filed under: Web Of Music @ 1:28 pm

The great motivator Earl Nightingale came up with the following definition of success… “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.” I love that definition! What does this definition mean to you? Let’s take a closer look at the worthy ideal part of it…

Please spend a few minutes writing down what the words “worthy ideal” mean to you. To me it is my vision of perfection…a vision of how I would ideally like things to be.It is a vision that I find inspiring and energizing!

If your success with guitar is totally dependant on working towards a worthy ideal, doesn’t it make sense that you first need to figure out what YOUR worthy ideal is? How can you progressively realize something if you don’t know what it is? Let’s do some exercises to figure your one out…

Please invest at least a couple of hours doing the following exercises. They will really help you to build a picture of your
worthy ideal in your mind’s eye…

Exercise 1:

Imagine how would ideally like to play.Try and imagine what your guitar playing would sound, look and feel like. What guitar techniques are you a master of? How does your improvising sound? What about your composing? Please write your answers down now.

Exercise 2:

Imagine your ideal guitar playing career. Would you be a master guitar teacher? What about an amazing performing artist? Or what about performing as part of a highly successful band? How about being an in demand studio guitarist? What do you TRULY want to do? Please write down your answers now.

Exercise 3:

Write down your worthy ideal. Write it down in the present tense, as if you have already achieved it.Try to condense it down into a one paragraph statement.

Exercise 4:

Invest 5 minutes every morning and night to read your worthy ideal. This will help you to stay motivated and focused on what you TRULY want.

Clarity is essential. Without it you won’t be able to start developing an effective plan to work towards your worthy ideal.

You may find as you answer the questions that self-doubt starts to creep in. You may doubt whether or not what you write down is even possible! This is normal. Just write down your answers anyway :-) You don’t need to know right now HOW you will achieve your worthy ideal. All you need to do is figure out WHAT it is.

New Rules for the New Year: What is Coming in the Music Industry?

Filed under: Web Of Music @ 8:56 am

We’ve seen it coming for several years, but it’s here full on and in our faces now…so what do artists do? The word artist means: “One whose work shows skill.” (The American Heritage Dictionary)

However, with the arrival of unskilled, but nice “artists” being signed to contracts and marketed to the public and the public is hearing the call and purchasing their music, what is the secret?

We all know William Hung of American Idol fame. This gentleman is sweet and seems kind, but frankly, can’t sing a note and is artistically disturbed and challenged to say the least. So how did he land a record deal and sell over a 100,000 units right off the block? How is it that even after what would normally be a one-hit-wonder scenario, the novelty didn’t wear off and he has a Christmas CD out that also sold quite well?

Then we find a Princess on the show Love in the Heir, who can’t sing, can’t write, but I am pretty sure will be getting a deal, if she hasn’t already. The credits read, Asylum Entertainment. Could this be a resurfacing of Asylum Records?

So how do these obscure people get deals and move product when talented artists can’t get a CD on the shelf?

The answer, it’s all about marketing. We have heard it time and time again and that’s what it is. A rock packaged and sold as a rock, is just a rock. But a rock packaged and marketed as a friend, becomes a cultural phenomenon.

First these companies find a way to pull at our heart strings. With William, it was his sweet genuine spirit that seemed to say “I am the underdog, but I don’t know it.” Everyone loves an underdog, especially and unknowing one. With Princess Ann, there is the royalty novelty, but they play up the unspoiled victim and everyone roots for the vicitim. They have been marketed as the person next door, the underdog and our friends. We can personalize and associate with their lives. That grabs us at our heart strings, which then grabs us in our bank accounts. We dole money out to help support ourselves really. We are buying the product because it reminds us of our dreams unrealized. The marketing has then worked. You have to reach a common ground. Let me take the word

Statistics have shown that most buys are done from emotional buying. Not from a planned excursion.

So how can the average Joe grab the marketing media, without having access to being on a reality show? It’s hard, but obtainable. Tell a story that captures the hearts of the world. One that they can relate too. You must communicate to the general public a story that they can relate too. You must give them a value a reason for buying your product. Let me give you an example. A simple word picture presented two different ways.

The growth of such a digital delivery system will result in the balance of power shifting away from large-scale entertainment companies in favor of musicians no longer dependent upon large record companies for manufacturing and distribution of the musician’s work. Under the traditional model of distribution, artists earn around $1.50 per CD, while digital delivery garners them about $6 for the same CD.
However, the major labels still win out over the indies in the minor leagues why? Marketing. It’s all about marketing and PR. YOU MUST DO IT.
YOU MUST HAVE IT.
